Hellboy 2
Is an excellent film. I love the way Del Torro has managed to bring together the bombastic action of a super hero movie and the dreamy surreality of a fairytale.

Is it better than the first Hellboy film? I liked the first film, but it didn't have the "X" factor.
Possibly as I don't recall the first film leaving such an impression on me. Having said that, I wasn't familiar with Del Torro's other work when I watched the original Hellboy, which I think my have added to my appreciation of Hellboy 2. Check out Cronos, Pan's Labyrinth and Devil's Backbone if you want to see some of his best films.
