Shred or Dead

This morning I spent a coupe of hours shredding old credit card statements, receipts and other financial docs deemed too risky to be allowed to languish unspoilt in the recycling bin. It wasn't much fun so no doubt the pile will build up again to the point that it takes over the whole flat and I'm forced once more to make like Raphael - Born to Shred! I had a t-shirt with that on when I was a boy.

The weather has been absolutely gorgeous these past few days: sunny but not too hot, and the leaves on the trees just starting to turn. I've been absolutely dying to get out there with my camera, or to the park on my bike, but I've either been doing domestic chores; working, at university or had my head buried in a book - I'm certainly feeling the increased work load the second year brings.

Tomorrow evening we have friends coming over for dinner so we've been stocking up on wine and trying to get the flat vaguely presentable. We're re-using a duck recipe from a previous dinner party because it seemed to go down quite well, unless our guests were just being excessively polite...
